The goal
To use an AI tool to suggest a learning activity that meets a specific objective, then review it and adapt it with your expertise to suit your students.
Before you start
- One clear learning objective from your lesson plan.
- General information about the class: grade, size and available time.
- Do not enter students’ names or any data about them.
The steps
- Write the objective precisely: what will students be able to do after the activity?
- Describe the context: grade, time and available resources.
- Ask for options: two or three activities instead of one.
- Choose and adapt: pick the most suitable one and adapt it for your students.
- Add assessment: ask for a short question or task to check the objective was met.
Try it yourself
Apply the steps to an upcoming lesson, starting with this example after adapting it.
A clearer request: “I teach Arabic language to Grade 8. Objective: students distinguish between fact and opinion in a short text. Suggest two group activities of fifteen minutes each, without electronic devices, with a final assessment question.”
Replace the subject, grade, objective and time with your own.
Note: results vary from one tool to another and from one attempt to the next; the example shows a possible result, not a fixed one.
Review the result
- Does the activity really meet the objective, or does it just seem fun?
- Are the information and examples correct and suitable for your students’ culture and ages?
- Does it fit the available time and resources?
- Adjust what is needed using your expertise; the tool suggests and the educational decision is yours.
